Outreach
Sharing science with broader audiences is one of my favourite parts of being a scientist. I have given lectures at my high school to orient the seniors students when choosing careers. I have given lectures and workshops at my former university, back in Chile.
In the future, I plan to use this webpage to provide quantum control tutorials or even accessible articles about my research. Feel free to reach out if you’d like me to contribute to your outreach initiative!
Service
The scientific community only thrives when we all contribute. I am a peer reviewer for several journals, including Quantum, SciPost Physics, Phys. Rev. X, Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. Research, Phys. Rev. A, Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, Quantum Machine Intelligence, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, and Physica A.
I also supervise undergraduate projects from students of the Universidad de Chile (16 so far) and have supervised two master's students there who wanted to research quantum mechanics. I honestly think mentoring young scientists—through formal supervision or informal discussions—is one of the most rewarding aspects of my service to the community.
